Rebecka Regis is a writer from Seattle Washington.

When not playing with horses, she is working on maintaining a consistent writing schedule and listening to her inner artistic voice.

Rebecka has lived and traveled abroad. As a teenager she worked as a ski instructor near Kitzbuhel Austria, and roamed Europe with a backpack absorbing other cultures and lifestyles.

During her travels, she became aware of social class systems that often blocked upward mobility and opportunities for individuals. The common denominator that had the capacity to help a person raise their standard of living; Education.

Traveling broadened her understanding of the freedom and the opportunities that existed in the United States. Exploring the world helped her make the decision to return to the U.S. and pursue a college education.

Rebecka attended the University of Vienna in Austria and graduated from Pacific Lutheran University.

After graduating, she joined a boutique mutual fund company where she explored her interest in the field of investments. She further developed financial expertise after joining Dain Bosworth, a regional Investment Bank, as a Series 7 licensed Investment Executive.

Feeling the pull to move towards a more creative career, she changed paths in order to develop her writing skills as an account executive and writer with The Silver Company, a regional public relations firm in Seattle.

Later, Rebecka moved on to technology, joining Microsoft, where she worked in the Windows Division supporting internal products before becoming a Program Manager in Speech.Net, and later a Producer and writer on MSN's website.

Although Rebecka took a circuitous route to get to writing, the journey provided the necessary challenges to grow. A quote that resonates for her, “You can’t go back and make a new start, but you can start right now and make a brand new ending.” James R. Sherman

A lifelong learner, she is always ready to explore what grabs her attention. Guiding questions; Am I enjoying what I am doing? What’s next? and What can I learn?

When Rebecka is not writing, she can be found spending time with her husband, family, friends, and horses - Barlovento and Lakota, gardening and playing with bees and butterflies, or looking for her Zen doing yoga, meditating or engaging in athletic activities.
